We cannot deny or ignore that the whole world is going through a big shakeup at present and it’s new territory for most of us.
Things are changing on an hourly basis and it is stressful and overwhelming trying to process the changes and adjusting to our new reality.

It may seem impossible not to get caught up in the fears, the negativity and the drama of the chaos, however, there are steps you can take to stay positive and focused as you navigate this or other similar challenging times and come out the other side more empowered than ever before. Let’s explore them…

Choose to be part of the solution and not the problem

The problem and the solution are two different frequencies.

Most of what comes from the news or any communication channel is negative because sensationalism and panic are tactics that have always been used to attract attention and viewers. You can choose to connect, feed and react to that negativity and in doing so, become overwhelmed, scared, worried, and anxious OR you can choose to be proactive and align with the solution.

Remember that where you put your attention on, expands.

Let’s put our attention and intention on the solution by taking solution-oriented actions. Here are some of them:

  • Take care of yourself. The stronger you are in your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self-care, the better your health and the better you stand to be of help. Now is a good time to start meditating, getting a journal, engaging in an indoor hobby, trying new healthy recipes, doing some gardening, etc.
  • Be socially responsible. Before saying, commenting, sharing or doing anything, think if what you are about to do contributes to wellbeing or feeds the hysteria.
  • Focus on what is already good and working. For example, the easy-to-follow measures to keep well, the quick response from government and companies alike to implement changes to address our current situation, China is out of lockdown, more time for you and your family, less pollution in the environment, less busyness, etc.
  • Work on your mindset. A positive mindset gives you clarity, aids in your decision making, reduces stress, and increases your immunity to name a few benefits, all of which you want right now.  There are lots of tools that can help you to develop a more positive mindset; the only requirement is your willingness to learn and change

Be a channel for love and not fear

Love is much more powerful than fear.

Many people are being seriously affected by this global situation. Some directly affected by the illness, some losing their jobs or being financially challenged. Many experiencing stress, anxiety and fear due to the uncertainty of the road ahead.

Let’s think of them not from a place of judgement but from a place of compassion and love.

Also, let’s appreciate those who are on the front-line researching, working, and serving to restore wellness and normality into our lives.

Let’s think of them and send them love, protection, gratitude and blessings.

If you are not ill and if no-one you know is ill either, give thanks with a full heart for the health you enjoy.

Reach out and check on the people you know that may feel vulnerable, lonely and need your presence during these difficult times (even if it’s over the phone, camera or internet).

Love, gratitude, understanding, kindness, support and compassion are emotions that will help us navigate this part of this journey from a place of empowerment and alignment.

See the current situation as an opportunity to re-evaluate, reset and grow

Each low in our lives always offers an opportunity to learn something about ourselves, to clear old patterns and to grow stronger, wiser, and more resilient as a result. This crisis is giving us the opportunity to do some refocusing and clearing, and our perspectives and attitudes will change as a result.

Don’t miss this opportunity. Think about how you can use your current circumstances to benefit, enhance or move your life forward. Have you ever said: ‘if I only had the time, I’d …’. Well, now the time has come, how are you going to use it?

There are always opportunities to help you not only survive but thrive in life.

How we choose to respond to what is happening will determine our experience.

Let’s navigate this time together from an empowered place, play our part in helping transform the fear of uncertainty into solutions and take positive action. Know that you are resilient, resourceful and radiant, and you will find your alignment in this experience to be a beacon of light, love and awakening in the world.
